MISSION VIEJO, CA—Firefighters arrived at a burning home in Mission Viejo Monday night and quickly put out the blaze.

Just after 6:15 p.m., Orange County Fire Authority arrived at the scene of a home burning in the 27000 block of Encanto, OCFA Capt. Greg Barta said.

Smoke was showing from the roof of the two-story home as firefighters began their attack.

"Everyone was out, and firefighters were able to isolate the fire to the attic and prevent it from extending to the other portions of the home," an OCFA officer at the scene said over X, formerly Twitter.

Investigators were researching what started the blaze, and Orange County Sheriff's Department Mission Viejo police services assisted with traffic control during the incident.
