When the City Council reconvenes after the holidays, Trish Kelley will serve as Mayor and Wendy Bucknum as Mayor Pro Tem for 2021. City Council members made the 1-year appointments during their annual reorganization on Tuesday.

Trish Kelley was first elected to the Mission Viejo City Council in November 2002. She served as Mayor in 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2014. In December 2014, she retired from the City Council due to term limits. After a 2-year return to the private sector, Trish was again elected in November 2016.

Wendy Bucknum was first elected to serve as on the City Council in 2014. She served as Mayor in 2017. Voters reelected her to office in 2018.
