Mission Viejo Library Celebrates 25 Years With Gala

Residents can be a part of the celebration by purchasing tickets for the Mission Viejo Library 25th Anniversary Gala.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — The Mission Viejo Library is turning 25 this year, and the Friends of the Library are hosting a celebratory 25th Anniversary Gala on Oct. 7 to commemorate the event.

The gala will celebrate the library's first quarter-century, as well as the Friends of the Library's contributions to the Mission Viejo community.

Originally opening in October 1997, the Mission Viejo Library had a collection of 65,000 items, 44,000 cardholders and a 27,000-square-foot building. Twenty-five years later, the library has grown steadily.
