Mission Viejo Library Reopens For General Admission April 30

The Mission Viejo Library is gearing up to open to the public without appointments on Friday, April 30.

The reopening includes the library’s south wing where patrons can browse non-fiction print and audiobooks, biographies and local history. Public computers will be available as well as study seating for students and others seeking a quiet spot to relax or do homework and other projects.
The library will be open from noon to 5 pm Tuesday through Saturday with the convenient curbside pickup service continuing during operating hours. To ensure the library is able to remain open and keep patrons and staff safe, masks are required at all times for everyone age 2 and older.

“We are thrilled to welcome patrons back to the library without appointments,” said Library and Cultural Services Director Genesis Hansen. “Since the onset of the pandemic, we have worked diligently and creatively to provide ongoing services and are thrilled to expand those services safely to patrons.”
Furniture has been reconfigured to support physical distancing, and patrons are asked to maintain 6 feet of distance with everyone outside of their household.
