Mission Viejo Man Killed In 405 Freeway Crash
A Mission Viejo man was killed Wednesday morning in a three-car crash on the 405 Freeway early Wednesday morning.

MISSION VIEJO, CA β Three vehicles collided southbound on the 405 Freeway in the early morning hours, Wednesday, according to California Highway Patrol officers.
A 65-year-old Mission Viejo man, driving a 2000 Chevrolet S-10, was killed in the crash that occurred on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Westminster.
The collision occurred just before 1:45 a.m. on the 405 just north of Springdale Street, according to the California Highway Patrol reporting officers.

A 2006 Subaru WRX driven by a 26-year-old Costa Mesa man crashed into the rear of the fatally injured driver's Chevrolet, causing it to overturn and slam into a 2014 Honda Accord driven by a 19-year-old Garden Grove woman, the CHP reported.
Investigators were working to determine why the Subaru crashed into the Chevy, the CHP reported.

The name of the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was withheld pending notification of his family.
