Mission Viejo One Of Top 50 Best Places To Live, Says Money Mag
Mission Viejo was the only city in the state listed in Money Magazine's "Top 50 Best Places to Live in the U.S." for 2021.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — Mission Viejo was listed as one of the "Top 50 Best Places to Live in the U.S. 2021-2022" on Monday, according to Money Magazine. The city is the only location in California featured on the list, beating out bustling metropolitan areas and quaint towns across California.
According to Money Magazine, the 35th annual list highlights towns and cities where job growth is rising, home prices are affordable and where the quality of life thrives. Mission Viejo placed at 48 for its gorgeous beaches, top-tier schools and excess of lush parks — among many other things.
The City of Mission Viejo acknowledged this accomplishment in a statement released Monday.

"The honor complements the City’s continual safe-city ranking and highlight’s what a great place Mission Viejo is to live, work and play," the city posted in the statement.
