Mission Viejo: Pile-Driving Activities At Avery Parkway Expected To Begin February 8
Pile driving is necessary for the foundation of the new Avery bridge as part of the freeway widening.

As part of the I-5 South County Improvement Project, crews will perform loud pile-driving activities along the northbound I-5 bridge at Avery Parkway beginning around Monday, February 8. The work will take place up to three weeks.

Pile driving is necessary for the foundation of the new Avery bridge as part of the freeway widening. Residents should be aware the work may be loud. Schedules could change due to inclement weather or operational factors.
The traffic-improvement project by the Orange County Transportation Authority and Caltrans, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be complete in 2025.
