Mission Viejo Seeks Public Feedback On Park Lighting Project
City officials are calling on Mission Viejo residents to attend a special neighborhood meeting Monday to learn more about the project.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — The City of Mission Viejo is considering improving the athletic field lighting at Marty Russo Youth Athletic Park, and city officials are calling on residents to attend a special neighborhood meeting Monday to learn more about the proposed project and give feedback.
The proposed project would allow sports leagues to accommodate needed practice and game schedules, particularly during the upcoming winter months, while also addressing park visibility and safety. The city has received numerous requests over the past several years from organizations such as Little League and AYSO to consider increasing and replacing existing field lighting throughout the park, the city said in a statement.
The neighborhood meeting is designed to give Mission Viejo residents the chance to learn more, provide input and ask questions. It is scheduled to take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Mary Russo Youth Athletic Park behind Field #1.
