Mission Viejo Seeks Volunteers For Oso Fit 5K Fun Run
Looking to volunteer in the name of community health? The City of Mission Viejo is seeking volunteers for the Oso Fit 5K Fun Run

MISSION VIEJO, CA —Are you an energetic personality looking to give back to your town? The City of Mission Viejo is seeking volunteers to participate in the Oso Fit 5K Fun Run and Community Health Fair, the city announced Wednesday.
The volunteers will help direct the 5K route and the kids' run, the city said in a news release. All volunteers will also earn community service credits for the hours they spend assisting the event.
The 5K also boasts a free Community Health Fair featuring health and wellness organizations offering giveaways and informational handouts. In addition, a wide variety of health screenings will be available including a 3D foot scan, blood pressure check, balance assessment, dental scans and much more, according to the city.

Volunteers for the Oso Fit 5K Fun Run must register by Feb. 24 through the city's website.
Additionally, community members are invited to participate in the event. Residents who pre-register before Feb. 18 will save $10 on their registration fee. Pre-registration is $25 for adults, and $15 for kids ages 12 and under. All pre-registration proceeds will go toward a local nonprofit of the resident's choice.
