Mission Viejo Shows Off Wheelchair Tennis Stars in November
36 of the world's most famed wheelchair tennis players are arriving in Mission Viejo on Nov. 1st for the UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Thirty-six of the world’s greatest wheelchair tennis players will begin arriving in Mission Viejo on Monday for the UNIQLO Wheelchair Doubles Masters Nov. 2-6 at the Marguerite Tennis Pavilion.
The event is the International Tennis Federation’s flagship wheelchair tennis doubles event.
Other than the U.S. Open in Flushing Meadow, N.Y. – a Grand Slam event – there is no bigger wheelchair tournament in the U.S. First staged in 2000, the season-ending event features the world’s top eight men’s pairs, top six women’s pairs and top four quad pairs. Mission Viejo is the only U.S. city to ever host the event, which takes place in this South County community for the fourth straight year.

Rio Paralympic gold medalists Stephane Houdet and Nicolas Peifer of France head the men’s entries for next week’s competition as they bid for their first Doubles Masters title together.
In one of the most successful wheelchair tennis partnerships in the history of the Doubles Masters is that of home favorites and three-time Paralympic gold medalists Nick Taylor and David Wagner as the Rio silver medalists prepare to take their tally of Doubles Masters quad titles into double figures.

Rio silver and bronze medalists Diede de Groot and Lucy Shuker join forces for the first time to head the women’s doubles entries.
People of all ages are invited to witness the incredible competition at 27474 Casta Del Sol.
Tournament sessions take place Nov. 2-5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 6.
