Mission Viejo's Oso Creek Trail Closed For Emergency Repairs

A stretch of Oso Creek Trail is closed for emergency repairs through May 1.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A stretch of the Oso Creek Trail will be closed for two months starting Wednesday while the City of Mission Viejo performs emergency repairs along the Oso Creek.

Heavy rains in the area recently have eroded a section of the creek banks next to the trail, threatening sewer and water infrastructure pipes.

The Oso Creek Trail closure extends from the eastern end of the Celebration Garden continuing east to the bridge over the creek and to the rear of the Village Green. This section of Oso Creek Trail will be closed for repairs from March 1 to May 1. However, a detour is available using the Upper Oso Creek Trail along the Village Green.
