Motorcyclist Killed, Driver Sought After Fatal Laguna Hills Crash

Authorities are searching for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash in Laguna Hills that left one motorcyclist dead.

LAGUNA HILLS, CA — The California Highway Patrol sought the public's help Friday in locating a suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that left one driver dead, authorities said Friday.

The collision was reported at 7:48 a.m. after a motorcyclist was struck by a white SUV on the California State route 5 freeway traveling south, just north of La Paz Road near Mission Viejo, and fled the scene. The identity of the motorcyclist has yet to be released.

While the license plate of the SUV is not known, the car is thought by authorities to have crash damage along its right side. Now, the California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the incident and searching for both the hit-and-run car and driver.
