New Coffee Shop To Open Doors In South OC Friday

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A New York-based coffee house is opening shop in South Orange County for the first time ever, after Gregorys Coffee announced its grand opening set for Saturday, April 27, in Mission Viejo.

The Mission Viejo location marks the first Gregorys Coffee location in California, and the 38th location country-wide. According to Founder and CEO Gregory Zamfotis, the new location will open for business at The Shops at Mission Viejo.

"We have been looking at the west coast for a long time, but have never pulled the trigger. Either timing wasn’t right, couldn’t find a location that worked for us, or Covid was happening," Zamfotis told Patch. "When we saw the opportunity to join the amazing roster of tenants at the Shops at Mission Viejo we jumped on it. There is such an amazing community and we are so excited to join it — and the weather doesn’t hurt either."

Zamfotis said Gregorys' tagline of "see coffee differently" highlights its commitment to delivering fresh, quality coffee without compromising on service or price.

As a challenger brand in the competitive coffee business, Gregorys pays tribute to this tagline in several ways: making fresh coffee every half-hour, baking fresh pastries in-house daily, and pouring exquisite latte art for customers.

Gregorys Coffee also boasts an exemplary coffee program, where all beans are sourced, roasted and prepared by the coffee house.

The shop will also offer a range of vegan eats, gluten-free items and tasty refreshers.
