Nixon Library To Unveil $15 Million Upgrades In October
The latest in technology plus 70 new exhibits, including a replica Oval Office, included.
YORBA LINDA, CA --- The foundation that operates the Richard Nixon Presidential Library announced today a $15 million project to upgrade it will be on display in October.
Foundation officials say the new "interactive presidential museum,'' scheduled to be opened with a ceremony on Oct. 14, will feature the latest in new technology and close to 70 new exhibits, including a replica of the 37th
president's Oval Office.
"President Nixon himself offered during the planning of this Library, ' hope the Nixon Library will be a vital place of discovery and rediscovery, of investigation, of study, debate and analysis,' '' said David Ferriero, archivist of the United States at recent event honoring the library's boosters.

The remodeled museum will also have an exhibit on Nixon's trip to China, which ushered in a new era of engagement with the superpower.
Officials say the library will also have 30 "unique, multi-media experiences, 11 original films, 12 custom digital interactives, 10 curated archival film sequences, more than 600 photographs, 8,000 square feet of wall murals and more than 300 artifacts.''
