OC Family Gets A Christmas Tree, Thanks To Firefighters, Deputies

An Orange County family got the surprise of the season when firefighters and deputies showed up to their door with a Christmas tree.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — An Orange County family received Christmas tidings in style, after firefighters hand-delivered a Christmas tree to their door Thursday.

When Orange County firefighters and sheriff's deputies took 28 students on a special shopping experience at Target — with funds raised by the city, Oakhouse Church and the city's police foundation — they learned that one of the families did not have a Christmas tree at their Laguna Hills home.

Home Depot provided a donated tree, and firefighters from Truck 9 in Mission Viejo, as well as Orange County sheriff's deputies, made the special home delivery.
