Orange County Clerk-Recorder’s Department To Stay Open Later On Valentine's Day

If you want to get married on Valentine's Day, the Orange County Clerk-Recorder's Depart. is extending its hours to issue licenses.

From the City of Mission Viejo: If you want to get hitched on Valentine’s Day, listen up: The Orange County Clerk-Recorder’s Department on Feb. 14 is offering extended hours at its facilities including nearby Laguna Hills. The department at 24031 El Toro Road, Suite 150 will stay open until 5:30 pm to issue marriage licenses and perform ceremonies on the most romantic day of the year.

Since Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest days of the year, appointments will fill up fast. To make an appointment, use the online appointment system at OCRecorder.com or download the OC Weddings mobile app. You can also save time by completing your marriage license application online and via the app.

One of the perks for choosing the department is the low cost for a marriage license and marriage ceremony. In Orange County, couples can obtain a public marriage license for $61 and a confidential marriage license for $66. A civil marriage ceremony can be performed for an additional $28.
