MISSION VIEJO, CA — Oreo is a sweet Shih Tzu who’s found herself homeless late in life.

"Turned in as a stray in Mission Viejo, Oreo was not in the best shape when the Animal Services Officer picked her up," a spokesperson said.

Her hair was matted, her teeth were bad, and she was confused about her new situation. But, with the help of our nonprofit Dedicated Animal Welfare Group, Oreo has been groomed, examined and had dental work.

The bad news is that she is developing cataracts in both of her eyes, so her eyesight is not the best.

The good news, however, is she is as precious and loving as can be and would love to find a warm lap to cuddle up on for the reminder of her life.
