Photos: Factory Fire Performance at Mission Viejo High School
MVHS Advanced Drama students Presents a historical play about a fire that occurred almost exactly 100 years ago.
In the Triangle Waist Factory off downtown Manhattan's Washington Square, a cigarette was tossed into a bin of fabric scraps and started a fire that swept through three stories. In less than half an hour, 146 people died in the fire.
That's the historical account that sets the tone of "The Triangle Factory Fire Project," performed by 's advanced drama students Thursday night. It will be performed again Friday and Saturday nights, April 1 and 2.
The play is directed by Kathleen Cannarozzi Harris and written by Christopher Piehler.
