Police Presence Reported At South OC Mall Parking Structure Thursday

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A large police presence was reported at the parking structure of the Shops at Mission Viejo Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

The safety advisory was issued at 12:48 p.m. Thursday by the Orange County Sheriff's Department. According to an eyewitness on the scene, a person was apparently in danger of jumping from the parking structure.

Authorities said the situation was contained and posed no threat to public safety.

By 1:50 p.m., the situation was resolved, authorities said. No injuries were reported and no further information was immediately available.
