Margaret Peterson Haddix has penned more than 30 books for kids, teens

New York Times bestselling author Margaret Peterson Haddix, who has penned more than 30 books for kids and teens, will delight fans of all ages when she visits Mission Viejo on Tuesday, January 26.
Margaret will appear in the City’s popular Writers Present series at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall Saddleback Room at 200 Civic Center.
The charming writer will unveil the first book “Under Their Skin” in a new thrilling series that caters to ages 8-13 about twins on a quest to discover the secrets being kept by their new family.

Margaret is also known for her successful books “The Girl with 500 Middle Names”; “Dexter the Tough”; the “Missing” series; the “Shadow Children” series; and others. Her books have been honored with New York Times bestseller status, the International Reading Association’s Children’s Book Award; American Library Association Best Book and Quick Pick for Reluctant Young Adult Readers notations; and numerous state reader’s choice awards. They have also been translated into more than 20 different languages.
The event is sponsored by A Whale of a Tale Bookshoppe and the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library. Books will be available for purchase onsite. Buying books during the events helps to support the City’s author programs and keep them free.
