'Possible Threat' Puts OC High School On Lockdown: OCSD

An Orange County high school sheltered in place after administrators received a report of a possible threat Friday, authorities said.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — An Orange County high school was placed on lockdown due to a possible threat Friday morning, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.

The shelter in place was reported at Capo Valley High School in Mission Viejo at around 9:35 a.m. Friday.

Nearby Stoneybook Private School also ordered a shelter in place due to the proximity of the alleged threat.

After an hours-long investigation, Orange County sheriff's deputies reported that both lockdowns had been lifted.

In addition, deputies found that the actual threat made to the school was not credible and an investigation into who submitted the threat is underway.
