Powerball Winning Numbers Wednesday, August 2, 2017

The multi-state Powerball Lottery jackpot is on the rise. With no tickets sold matching all six numbers in Wednesday evening's drawing, the estimated jackpot for Saturday's draw is expected to reach $286 million. Two Californians matched 4 plus the Powerball, and will take home almost $25,000 each. Was one of those tickets yours?

Nearly 75,000 others won at least $4 in the drawing, so check your tickets.

The numbers drawn Wednesday evening were 1, 16, 54, 63, 69, and the Powerball number was 18. Wednesday evening's jackpot was $261 million.

There were also no tickets sold in California matching five numbers but not the Powerball number. Such a ticket would have been worth $553,000.

Still, with many ways to win, your Powerball ticket might have earned you back at least the cost of the ticket.

The Powerball game is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands.
