Prelude in the Park/Pacific Symphony -Margot Ferron

The Pacific Symphony and Prelude in the Park will take place on Sat., July 27 starting at 4 pm on the Village Green (Oso Viejo Park- grass at Norman P. Murray Community Center) with prelude in the Park.    Enjoy free, family, friendly games and activities some of which are put on by local, nonprofit organizations and churches.

In fact, the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Mission Viejo will be making “Kards for Kidz.”   You are invited to make a card for young cancer patients that will be specially delivered to them.   Please support Relay for Life of Mission Viejo by dropping by, getting information on ACS, making a donation, checking out the opportunities to win some wonderful raffle prizes and fundraising items.

The City of Mission Viejo is celebrating it 25th anniversary of its 1988 incorporation and the 50th anniversary of its beginning.  It is a Wild West event with the stagecoach from Wells Fargo, hayrides, mechanical bull, petting zoo and much more.  The milestone will be marked by Prelude in the Park, a musical playground and an outdoor concert led by Maestro Carl St. Clair.

At 5:30 pm, children ages 3-12 years old will have the opportunity to make an instrument, play a drum, meet a musician and Maestro Carl St. Clair in an interactive hands-on musical playground.

Shuttle service from the Mission Viejo Civic Center will be available from 4 pm to 9:30 pm and golf carts will shuttle visitors from Newhart Middle School to the event.   For more information, visit www.cityofmissionviejo.org
