Robbery Suspect Sought In MV; Los Alisos Shelter In Place Lifted

Helicopters circled and police sought a robbery suspect in the area of Los Alisos Intermediate School, temporarily on lockdown, Monday.

MISSION VIEJO, CA —Orange County Sheriff's Department and Los Alisos Intermediate School enacted a lockdown Monday, as police services officers searched for a potential robbery suspect in the area.

There was no threat to the campus at any time, a department spokesperson said.

The report of robbery occurred near Los Alisos and Bough, and the suspect was described as a male, black, heavy set, round face, black zip-up jacket, black pants, black shoes, black beanie. May have gotten into a red mid-sized Chevy.

Los Alisos Intermediate was temporarily placed on Shelter-in-Place.

"There was police activity in the area, and this was just a precaution," a department spokesperson said. There is no need to pick up your children, and there is no direct threat to the campus. Deputies are on campus for security.

There was no word as to whether this robbery was related to those reported overnight in Costa Mesa and Fountain Valley as of this report.
