Multiple Assault Suspects Sought After Mission Viejo Attack: OCSD

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Orange County Sheriff's Department officers were actively seeking at least responsible for an assault, Thursday afternoon.

Orange County Sheriff's Department Duke helicopter circled the area of Alicia Parkway and Via Linda for "multiple suspects," OCSD spokeswoman Carrie Braun told Patch.

Those responsible for the assault fled the area before the deputies arrived at the scene, Braun said.

According to the Orange County Fire Authority, a man was taken by ambulance to an area hospital in stable condition after the attack.

The search for the suspects was ongoing, Braun said, and involved multiple police and the OCSD Duke Helicopter.

The Sheriff's Department is not releasing further information about the suspects as of this report, Braun said.
