Shocking Video Shows Woman Smashing Into Cars In OC Parking Lot

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A woman was arrested after she smashed into multiple cars in a business parking lot and led authorities on a brief chase in Orange County Thursday, ABC7 reported.

The scene was captured in shocking video footage, which showed the driver in an SUV plowing into three cars in a parking lot in Mission Viejo, the report said.

Orange County sheriff's deputies were called to the scene for a hit-and-run report, but the woman evaded authorities before being taken into custody on the 5 Freeway, the report said. She was not identified by authorities and faces assault with a deadly weapon charges and felony vandalism.

The motive for the rampage was not immediately known and authorities were looking into whether or not controlled substances were involved.
