Smoking Restrictions, Air BNB Restrictions Proposed In Ladera Ranch

LADERA RANCH, CA — Residents of Ladera Ranch are being asked to review amendments to CC&Rs for 2017 and beyond.

"The proposed amendments to the CC&Rs would add restrictions and therefore prohibit smoking in common areas and in the outside areas of an owner's separate interest," Ken Gibson, general manager for LARMAC said in a recent statement. "In addition, the proposed amendments would add language restricting, and therefore prohibiting, leases that are for less than 30 days, and would also restrict, and therefore only allow those persons expressly disclosed on any lease agreement as being authorized to reside in the Residence."

What does that mean?

Taking out the legalese, amendments are up that will curtail smoking in common areas, as well as put a stop to short term leases, or Air B&B style listings in the Ladera Ranch area.

Neighborhood Representatives (NR) will be voting on these important amendments during the next few months.
