South OC Swimmers, Divers Qualify For Olympic Trials: Good News
28 Mission Viejo Nadadores athletes were chosen for Olympic Trials with dreams of qualifying through to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — 28 Mission Viejo swimmers and divers are hard at work making their dreams come true, after nineteen swimmers and nine divers from the Mission Viejo Nadadores qualified for Olympic Trials with the end-goal of qualifying through to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Two Nadador swimmers, Penny Oleksiak — of Canada — and Jarod Hatch — of the Phillipines — have already been named to their country’s Olympic Team, continuing the Nadadores streak of qualifying athletes to every Olympic Games since 1976.
"The tradition continues! Members of the Mission Viejo Nadadores Swimming and Diving Team have been team members in every Olympic Games since 1976, and we are thrilled to celebrate this generation as they pursue their Olympic Dreams for Paris 2024," Mission Viejo Nadadores Foundation Executive Director Michele Mitchell told Patch.
