South Orange County Actress Piles On The Best Acting Awards

Kayden Tokarski won a Best Child/Young Actress award from the Indie Short Fest Los Angeles International Film Festival on Sept. 29.​

MISSION VIEJO, CA — One young South Orange County actress is making a name for herself in the world of movies and television, as 13-year-old Kayden Tokarski wins her sixth Best Young Acting Award since 2021.

Kayden won four best young actress awards for her role in the independent film, "I Miss Her, Too." She also won an international Gold Best Young Actor award and Silver Best Acting Duo award from the Independent Shorts Awards, and a Best Young Actress award from Vegas Shorts.

Most recently, Kayden won a Best Child/Young Actress award from the Indie Short Fest Los Angeles International Film Festival on Sept. 29.

“I am so grateful for the recognition of my work … it’s an incredible honor and something I will never forget,” Kayden told Patch while on set of Dhar Mann Studios in Burbank.

In 2021, Kayden won two Best Young Actress awards for her role in the independent film "Message from the Mermaids." Kayden also won an international Gold Best Young Actress award from the Independent Shorts Film Festival and a Best Young Actress award from the Venice Shorts Film Festival.

Kayden, who began her acting career at age 10, also served as keynote speaker for the 34th annual Walk Against Drugs in Orange County last year. She was also a celebrity speaker for last year's Red Cross Los Angeles fundraiser, which also featured Mario Lopez.

Kayden will continue working hard at her craft, and is currently filming a sci-fi SAG-AFTRA feature film "Roswell Delirium" that is set to be released in August of 2023.
