Sponsors are Sought for Relay for Life of Mission Viejo- Margot Ferron

Sponsors are sought for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Mission Viejo, a 24-hour overnight event that will be held at Saddleback College, 28000 Marguerite Pkwy, MV, CA 92692 on Sat., June 7 at 9 am to Sun., June-8, 2014 at 9 am.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at different levels and it allows Relay to bring a wide array of participants together to fight against cancer.  It’s a unique way to inspire hope and to create awareness to help those facing the disease.

How can you get involved?  You can donate to several events and activities- Survivor and Caregiver Dinner, Silent Auction on the day of relay, Second Time Around Jewelry/Accessory Sale or be a be a business sponsorship for the Relay event.

Teams walk on the track at Saddleback College.  They are committed to creating awareness and raising money in the fight against cancer.  Join in the party atmosphere!  Teams pitch tents, camp-out, eat, feast, share in games and entertainment.

Because Relay is a team event, individuals aren’t required to be there the entire time. However, it’s so much fun you will get caught up in the party atmosphere and want to stay.  The day is packed with entertainment- bands, Kids zone, onsite fundraisers, fight back messages, etc.

You don’t need to be a runner or even a walker to participate.   The common thread is to have team members’ continuously walking, running or rolling around the track for 24 hours to celebrate those who have survived cancer, remember those we have lost to the disease and to empower everyone to fight back against cancer.

Relay is a healing experience for those fighting cancer.  It offers them a chance to meet others who have claimed victory over cancer.  This is a great, free family event for the community, but it wouldn’t be possible without the many generous sponsors and volunteers.

Any cancer survivor who would like to participate in this year’s Relay For Life, but has not registered may do so by registering online at www.mvrelay.org

There is no fee to register as a survivor.  Each survivor who registers early will receive a purple “Survivor T-shirt” to wear as they take the first lap of the 2014 Relay for Life on Sat. June 1. Early registration is not required to participate.

For more information or to register for the event go to www.mvrelay.org or if you have any questions regarding, please call Margot Ferron at 949/309-1235, gomargotgo@aol.com.
