Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Grand Opening Plans At Disneyland Resort
What to know before you go! here is more information for fans of Disneyland, Star Wars and what is waiting for you behind the gates of Batuu

ANAHEIM, CA — Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at the Disneyland Resort is almost here. Remember, if you are planning on visiting between May 31 to June 23, you need a reservation to enter the Star Wars land. No standby lines will be open during that time. Also, no costumes worn by guests over 14, however you can and are encouraged to wear clothes inspired by your favorite character, the resort says.
"The opening of this brand new, 14-acre land—the biggest single-land expansion at a Disney Park—is huge!" a park spokesperson said. Galaxy's Edge is subject to capacity, and access may be limited.
Once inside the land, Disney's goal is to make sure your experience is a fantastic one.

"Guests who are in the queue at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will have the ability to purchase snacks, utilize a continued process to visit the restroom, enjoy cast interactions, and also engage with an in-queue game while using the Play Disney Parks mobile app to make wait times fun, interactive and enjoyable."
That does not surprise us. If you've ever attended a grand opening of a ride or land at Disneyland, entertaining the crowd is always top priority.

Personally, I remember long waits for the opening of the Indiana Jones ride. We were given a card with a code breaking key to translate the language of the "Temple of the Forbidden Eye!" Imagine, waiting in that line long enough to decipher a strange hieroglyphic-like language! Or to test every single hidden "Easter egg." And yes, I'm dating myself!
After June 23, anyone can get into the Galaxy's Edge land, but you will need a spot in the virtual queue.
For Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the Disneyland Resort will utilize a virtual queueing system, as needed, to continue to provide a great guest experience, so guests will be free to enjoy the rest of the resort while waiting to get called back to enter the land.
Guests, once inside the park, will be able to request to join a boarding group to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge via the Disneyland app, or a non-technology option.
Though many are nervous about crowds and lines, wait times and what's next, Disneyland Resort workers are ready and on the case, they've shared with Patch.
"We know there is a lot of anticipation for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge," they admit. "With nearly 65 years of experience as the leader in themed entertainment, coupled with strategic operational planning tools put in place, and 14 additional acres of new experiences, the Disneyland Resort looks forward to continuing to provide the legendary guest experience for which is it known, this summer and beyond."
Didn't get an entry time? You can still get a guaranteed Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge reservation by staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel between May 31 and June 23.
When you get your reservation, there is no need to arrive early, just head to the gate at your reservation time, they say.
Opening day parking might be a bit packed, they warned.
"As we have shared previously, we have a new parking structure, Pixar Pals, opening soon, and until then, Mickey & Friends and Toy Story will be the two primary guest parking lots," they said.
Arriving guests will be directed to the appropriate lot, and you can always check Twitter's @DisneylandToday for parking updates.
Sometimes, waiting for a ride can enhance your experience! (Right. Just keep telling yourself that!) Patch will be there opening day to share in your Galaxy's Edge joy! Will you?
