Suspected Hit And Run Driver Arrested In Mission Viejo

MISSION VIEJO, CA —Early Tuesday morning, officers responded to the scene of Jeronimo Road and Peter Hartman Way where a vehicle was in the center divider.

A white sedan, reported stolen, had struck a tree at approximately 5:30 a.m., officials said. The driver fled the scene.

Officers searched the area and discovered the suspect hiding in the bushes near Taladro Circle.

"He sustained moderate injuries" in the collision, Mission Viejo Police Services spokesperson Quyen Vuong reported.
