Tree Falls on Home In Mission Viejo

Tree falls in high winds damaging home in Mission Viejo

A large eucalyptus tree fell on a home in Mission Viejo, CA, at 35 Rosings in the early morning hours of Saturday, December 3rd, 2016, causing the curious driving by to stop and survey the scene.

The large tree, close to 50 feet tall, and in the common area of the local HOA, fell and came to rest on a residents front lawn, striking the home as it fell as a result of high winds. It's upper branches laid on top of a vehicle in the driveway. The base root ball, a circumference of approximately eight feet, was uprooted and quite prominent above ground at the base of the fallen tree.

There is damage to the home and vehicle both. The residence is on the corner at the cross streets of Fieldcrest @ Rosings.
