'Trick' Out Your House For Mission Viejo Decorating Contest
The winner of the inaugural Mission Viejo Halloween and Fall Home Decorating Contest will receive prizes and bragging rights.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — Residents of Mission Viejo, it's time to dig out your Halloween decorations. The City of Mission Viejo is holding its inaugural Mission Viejo Halloween and Fall Home Decorating Contest and all community members are encouraged to "trick" out their front yards and deliver a "treat" of a display to the rest of their block.
The city, in partnership with the Mission Viejo Activities Committee, announced the debut of this first-time contest on Sept. 16. There is no entry-fee to have your Halloween-themed yard considered as the best of the block, however, residents must be sure to enter in their yards by the deadline of Oct. 8 at 5 p.m.

Preliminary judging takes place October 10-11, with final review on October 15. Residents can learn more information on the Mission Viejo Activities Committee's website.
