Two Charged In Attempted Murder At Mission Viejo Apartment
A man and woman allegedly lured a Mission Viejo resident to an area apartment swimming pool, then stabbed him multiple times.
MISSION VIEJO, CA - A young man and woman were charged with luring allegedly luring a man to an apartment complex in Mission Viejo, then stabbing him repeatedly.
Adriana Joanna Guillen, 18, and Miguel Angel Huertas, 19, both face a sentencing enhancement allegation of premeditated attempted murder and one count of conspiracy to commit a crime.
Huertas also faces sentencing enhancement allegations of street gang activity, personal use of a deadly weapon and inflicting "great bodily injury" on the victim.

"Orange County sheriff's deputies learned of the attack when a nurse at a hospital where the victim went for care," Carrie Braun of the Orange County Sheriff's Department said.
Guillen allegedly agreed to lure the victim, who is in his mid-40s, to the pool at the Idyllwillow Apartments at 28032 Marguerite Parkway in Mission Viejo.

She sent the victim, whose name was withheld, a text message to meet her at the pool alone, according to the complaint.
When he arrived, Huertas followed him to a restroom and repeatedly stabbed him with a knife while an unidentified co-conspirator acted as a lookout, the complaint alleges.
The extent of the victim's injuries was not revealed, and authorities did not disclose a motive for the attack.
Huertas has a prior conviction in September of last year for vandalizing public property in San Juan Capistrano.
Guillen entered a not guilty plea in the jail courtroom in Santa Ana and is next due at the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach for a pretrial hearing. Her co-defendant is scheduled to be arraigned in the same courtroom that day.
