Two Homes Ignite In Mission Viejo Windstorm
Firefighters battled a structure fire that quickly spread to the neighbor's home, Wednesday, during a Santa Ana wind event.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — Orange County Fire Authority firefighters battled not one but two house fires, Wednesday, on Ronea.
Firefighters arrived to a Mission Viejo home that was engulfed in flames shortly after 10 a.m., OCFA reported. "Strong winds spread the fire to the house next door," OCFA spokesman Paul Holaday said.
15 engines and one strike team battled both blazes, "ensuring the fire didn't spread further," he said. By noon, both fires were completely extinguished. Sparks and embers were flying in the heavy wind.
