Victim In Fatal Laguna Hills Crash ID'd, Suspect Sought By Police

Authorities are still searching for a suspect involved in a hit-and-run crash in Laguna Hills that left one motorcyclist dead.

LAGUNA HILLS, CA — The California Highway Patrol sought the public's help Monday in locating a suspect in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash that left one driver dead in Laguna Hills, authorities said Friday.

Officers still seek the driver of a white SUV thought to have caused the fatal crash.

Nick Mendoza Reyes, 31, of Palm Desert, died at the scene after a white SUV struck another truck, then pulled in front of Reyes.

Officials say that Reyes was driving his 2022 Triumph motorcycle southbound in the fast lane when he was fatally struck.

While the license plate of the SUV is not known, the car is thought by authorities to have crash damage along its right side.
