WALKABILITY WAKE-UP EXPO, MISSION VIEJO

Free expo. Learn how to walk safely, reduce the risk of falling and balance.

Celebrate Fall Prevention Awareness Week at Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo, CA 92692 on Wednesday, Sept 23, 2015. The City of Mission Viejo and Mission Hospital invites you to attend the 7th Annual Walkability Wake-Up Expo 2015 from 9 am -2 pm.

It will include exhibitor displays, complimentary breakfast, free health screenings, prizes and much more. Learn how to walk safely, reduce the risk of falling and balance. The event is free to the public. Registration begins at 8:30 am.

The Walkie Talkies will lead the walk on Oso Creek Trail at 8 am (weather permitting, bring an umbrella). Later there will be educational presentations and health screenings inside the community center. Some of the screenings include balance, fitness, cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose testing, vision, foot and ankle exams.

**The Walkie Talkies are a group of walkers that have been meeting every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8 am in front of Norman P. Murray for more than 15 years regardless of rain, shine or holiday. They walk the various paths on the Oso Trail. Join them to walk anytime.
