Water-Main Break Closes Saddleback College Wednesday
A reported water-main break closed Saddleback College Wednesday

MISSION VIEJO, CA — Students and faculty at Mission Viejo's Saddleback College received a startling text on Wednesday afternoon that a watermain had broken and classes were cancelled. The break occurred in a construction zone near the baseball field according to witnesses. The cause of the break was under investigation, according to on campus security officers.
"Classes are being cancelled starting at 5 p.m.," the school said in a text released message. "All students and non-essential faculty, staff and administration should calmly exit the campus."
Witnesses saw water coursing down the street as they were forced to evacuate.

A Saddleback College Police Officer told Patch on scene that no first responders were notified as the water main break was in a construction area and would be taken care of "in house."
Classes were expected to resume as scheduled Thursday morning according to the text.
