Wrestler Jordan Burroughs in Action

A double leg ninja.

The first day of the World Championships just concluded for the U.S Wrestling team in Budapest, Hungary.  One U.S wrestler (out of 3 that competed on the first day) finished just short of a medal.  Today brings 3 more wrestlers, then undefeated Olympic Gold Medalist Jordan Burroughs competes on Wed.

Here is a video of a recent Burroughs brawl with Saba Kubetzhy of Russia.  This bout took place in May at the "United for Wrestling" event in Los Angeles.

Burroughs lights the guy up...fun to watch.

International wrestling rules/styles--freestyle and greco-roman--are a bit different than collegiate and high school wrestling in the U.S.  Click here to see a brief explanation of rules.
