ABC Hawaiian BBQ

Overview:  This small establishment near the Pavilions on Foothill and Myrtle may appear to be a modest fast food joint, but locals appreciate it’s friendly atmosphere, affordable prices, generous portions, and tasty sauces.

Décor:  Simple but cheerful, with lime green walls and plenty of orange tinted wooden tables and chairs. A thatch straw awning reminiscent of a tiki hut hangs over the front counter. If you sit at one of their sidewalk tables you can enjoy a view of the San Gabriel Mountains.

Drinks:  Drinks range from $1.59 to $3.59 and include Fountain Drinks, Teas, Slushes and Smoothies.  Honey Green Tea is one of the most popular flavors.  Other drinks include Thai Tea, Milk Tea, and a variety of flavored Green Teas, including Strawberry, Mango, Peach, and Passion Fruit. Flavors for Slushes and Smoothies include those already listed and also Green Apple. Add  .40 for Boba, Mix Jelly, or Lychee.

Appetizers: Appetizers range from $1 for Egg Rolls to $4.49 for Crispy Shrimp. Other appetizers include Crab Langoon, Chicken Dumplings, French Fries, and Chicken or Portuguese Sausage Musabi. Spam Musabi ($3.09) is a favorite. 

Entrees:  Some of the most popular entrees include the Hawaiian BBQ Mix Combo ($7.69) with BBQ Chicken, BBQ Beef and Kalbi short ribs; Crispy Shrimp ($7.39) with Katsu sauce; the Seafood Mix Combo ($7.89) with Crispy Shrimp, Mahi-Mahi and BBQ Chicken; and Lemon Chicken ($6.59). Entrees range from $5.89 to $7.89 and come with two scoops of steamed rice, vegetables, and macaroni salad. Other offerings include Curry Chicken Katsu, Spicy Chicken, Garlic Shrimp, Loco Moco (hamburger steak topped with gravy and eggs), and Kalua Pork, which is smoky, shredded, slow-roasted pork.  Their Daily Specials range from $1.99-$4.99 Monday thru Friday and include BBQ Chicken or Beef, Spam Musabi, Chicken Katsu, and Fried Chicken Dumplings.

Fried Rice and Noodles:  The ABC House Special Fried Rice ($6.99) with shrimp, beef, pineapple, and Spam, is a favorite. Other offerings include Shrimp, Chicken, or Beef Fried Rice. Noodle Soup or Pan-Fried Noodles ($4.69-$6.89) come with BBQ Chicken or Beef, Vegetables, Spam, or Seafood, which includes shrimp, fish, chicken, mussels, imitation crab meat, and vegetables. 

Bowls, Burgers, and Salads: Their Bowls ($4.29) are very popular and include BBQ Chicken or Beef, Lemon Chicken, Katsu Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, and a Loco Moco Bowl. Burgers ($3.99) include BBQ Chicken, BBQ Beef, and the Mahi Burger. Salads include Garden Salad ($2.50-$3.99), Chicken Salad ($3.39-$5.79) and Macaroni Salad ($1.99-$3.69).

Family Meals and Party Trays:  Meals for four people include 3 entrée items, steamed rice, and macaroni. Party Trays can range from $7.99 for a small tray of rice to $103 for a large tray of Crispy Shrimp. They also offer BBQ Chicken, Katsu Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, Lemon Chicken, BBQ Beef, Kalua Pork, Kalua Short Rib, Mahi Mahi, Macaroni Salad, and Chicken Salad.
