• Petition · Protect and strengthen Monrovia's Music Program (change.org) — Monrovia parents, students, and alumni are rallying for a stronger, districtwide music pathway starting in elementary school and continuing through high school. A new petition urges Monrovia Unified to publicly explain how Proposition 28 arts funds are used, review music offerings at each elementary campus, and present a clear improvement plan with a community update by December 2026.
   

• Southern California Edison hosting fall community events ahead of compensation program deadline (sgvtribune.com) — Southern California Edison will have representatives at upcoming community events in Monrovia to answer questions about its Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program before the Nov. 30 claim deadline. Residents affected by the Eaton fire can learn about payouts, legal tradeoffs, and alternative options like the LA Fire Justice town hall while there's still time to decide whether to file claims or lawsuits.
