Mama bear, cubs spotted going for late night stroll in Southern California (ktla.com) — Early Monday morning, a mama bear and two cubs were spotted strolling across Grand Avenue in Monrovia before disappearing into the nearby foothills. About an hour later, likely the same trio was filmed rummaging through trash cans in eastern Pasadena, reminding foothill residents to secure garbage and stay alert for wildlife moving through neighborhoods during the heatwave.
4. SGV football Top 30 rankings: Bishop Amat, La Serna, Bonita on top (sgvtribune.com) — San Gabriel Valley football rankings are out, and Monrovia High is currently slotted 23rd among 30 area teams after starting the season 4–2. The list highlights how local powers like Bishop Amat, La Serna, and Bonita are shaping the playoff picture, giving Monrovia fans a sense of where their Wildcats stand in regional competition.
