MONROVIA, CA — The Monroe Elementary School Parent Teacher Association will host its annual auction on Friday, Oct. 23 — one of the school's largest fundraising events of the year, to support educational programs and opportunities for students, the city announced on Friday.
The event brings together parents, teachers, school staff, alumni, neighbors and friends to raise money for initiatives that enhance the learning experience for Monroe students, according to the Monroe Elementary PTA.
Funds raised through the auction will help support classroom enrichment, educational resources, arts programs, technology and community-building activities.
The auction will feature items and experiences donated by local businesses and community members, including getaways, dining packages, entertainment, student-created treasures and other unique offerings.
Community members can participate by attending the event in person, bidding online, donating auction items or sponsoring the fundraiser.
The PTA said every contribution helps provide resources and opportunities for students, encouraging participants to bid generously in support of the school community.
