Area DUI Checkpoint Nabs 4 Alleged Drunk Drivers, 2 Traffic Warrants Issued
The checkpoint was held in Arcadia from 9 a.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. today.
Four people were arrested for drunken driving and two traffic warrants were issued during an overnight driver's license/sobriety checkpoint in Arcadia, a police sergeant said today.
Twelve citations were issued for unlicensed drivers and five arrests were made or citations issued for motorists driving on suspended licenses during the checkpoint. It was at Baldwin Avenue at the entrance to the Westfield Shopping Center, began at 9 p.m. Saturday and ended today at 3 a.m., said Arcadia police Sgt. Brett Bourgeous.
Bourgeous also said five vehicles impounded for 30 days and one person was issued an open container citation during the checkpoint.
