Bears Without A Care: Photos Of Monrovia's Cutest Cubs
Warning: some are so cute you might want to hug them, but we advise against it.

MONROVIA, CA – To kick off the weekend, we asked Monrovians for their best bear photos and videos, and you delivered. Here's a round-up of the best bears without a care in the area. Warning: some are so cute, you might want to hug them. But we advise against it.
Bears in Monrovia are fairly common – there are even Samson the Bear statues scattered around town. The statues are in honor of a "particularly bold" 500-pound California black bear residents would see around town grabbing a bite to eat from a trash can or a fruit tree, according to the City of Monrovia. But Samson's fame didn't really come from his food rummaging skills, it came for his love of relaxing in hot tubs after a long day of rummaging for food.
Samson became sick and was set to be euthanized in 1994, but the news spread so quickly and people were so upset by it, the Department of Fish and Wildlife decided not to euthanize him. He lived out the remainder of his life at the Orange County Zoo, according to the City of Monrovia.

Bear with us, okay? David Debetta sent us these adorable shots of some bears helping themselves to some oranges in his yard.

Sometimes, the heat in Los Angeles County is unbearable. So hot, in fact, that these bears helped themselves to a dip in some neighborhood pools!

Knock knock?
Bear.......
Okay, we don't have any knock knock jokes about bears. But if we did, they'd be beary funny.

What do you call a bear in the sun? A solar bear! These bears were found walking towards Camp Trask, and eventually mama bear stopped to say hello to Christine Caudillo right outside the car window.

And sometimes, they just like to stroll. The mamma and baby duo look so tired, it's like they're bearly awake!

Have you met any bears taking a walk or looking for food in your neighborhood? Leave your photos in the comments.
