Blog: MHS Robotics Team Finishes First in Tournament

The MHS Robotics team named the Kings & Queens overcomes judging controversy, became crowd favorites and comes away with a 1st place finish in Palm Springs.

Today (12/8/2012), the MHS Robotics program sent three teams to the FIRST LA FTC Palm Springs qualifier. The MHS team named the Kings & Queens overcame judging controversy, became crowd favorites and came away as the 1st place alliance partner. This qualifies them for the FIRST LA FTC Championship tournament that will be hosted by Monrovia High School on 3/2/2013.

The MHS teams of the Deadbolts and the Suitbots also competed and though they did not make it into the final rounds they did well are now working on improvements to their robots that will take them to the next level.

The Suitbots next event is this Saturday 12/15/2012 in Claremont. All three teams compete January 12th 2013 in Antelope Valley.
