City Manager Search Could Extend Past May 2012
The City Council will consider hiring an executive recruitment firm to aid them in finding Monrovia's next city manager.

The could extend past May and will require the appointment of an interim manager while the process plays out, according to a city agenda report.
If the council can get the process underway before the holiday season, interviews could begin in February and a new manager could start in May. The worst case scenario would require an interim city manager to be in place until July if the hiring process extends into budget season, wrote in the report.
Ochoa, who's last day with Monrovia is January 2, 2012, recommended that the council use an executive recruitment firm to aid in the search.
