City to Hold Bear Safety Meeting Wednesday
An official from the California Department of Fish and Game and a local Animal Control officer will be on hand to answer residents' questions about the trash-loving animals.

Lured by the inviting aroma of garbage, bears have long roamed the city's hillsides in search of their next delectable meal in a can.
A local resident , and now the city is organizing another meeting to keep residents informed about bear safety in the wildland urban interface.
Rebecca Rebossa, a biologist with the California Department of Fish and Game, and a Animal Control officer will be on hand Wednesday to answer residents' questions about the furry creatures and give tips on how to keep them out of residential neighborhoods.

The message will remain the same: secure your trash, or bears will come down and feast upon it. A bear-resistant trash will be on display for residents to examine, according to the city's website.
The meeting will be held Wednesday, September 7 at the at 6:30 p.m.
