I have lived in Monrovia for 13 years. I think I am qualified to make the following statement: If you are not a member of city, know someone in the city, or have a connection to the city, you are done. Having said that: It is quite evident, that the citizens and taxpayers always find out, after the fact, what they are truly doing with funds "given them." Absolute poor management, poor decision making and at times, just outrageous! From my assessment, the "giveaway" to a choice group- ie., the Monrovia Family Festival Productions, Inc., wherein the City allowed $60,000 of fees due the City to be forgiven is not only, outrageous - but a violation of the law. I have yet to see or hear, the City Attorney investigate this breach to the citizens of Monrovia. So, goes the Click in Monrovia.
